“A DOZEN COUSINS AND A CRUMPLED CROWN,” Part One
Weep no more. SKULLKICKERS is back with another head-crushing story arc to fill the fantasy fun void in your life.
The dwarf has been forcibly returned to his homeland and the deranged diminutive denizens of Dwayre will make sure it’s a homecoming like no other.
We’ve updated our BUY page with tons of links to online retailers who carry the Skullkickers collections (hardcover or softcover) at discounted prices, many who also ship internationally.
Skullkickers books are the perfect X-Mas gift for the fantasy-loving comic or game fan in your life.
All of us on the team deeply appreciate your encouragement and support.
Here we go again! The last big show of the year is in New York at the Jacob Javits Center and it should be as crazy as ever.
Edwin Huang and Jim Zub will be set up in the separated Artist Alley show floor area at TABLE H6.
They’ll have Skullkickers books aplenty, but also sketch covers, variants, and more!
Want to get a one-of-a-kind piece of Skullkickers artwork and also help a great cause?
Reading With Pictures is running a fundraiser and Edwin Huang (artist on Skullkickers) has donated the original full size inked artwork for the splash page of Mighty Skullkickers #1 to the cause.
Bidding starts at $75 (A steal – Edwin’s commission drawings are more expensive!) so make sure you get in there and make it yours before Monday.
Over on Katie’s Korner they’ve added a review of Skullkickers Vol. 1: 1000 Opas and a Dead Body that also includes some recommended educational components teachers or librarians could use in tandem with the book. We’re flattered and thrilled that they enjoy the book so much and appreciate the extra effort put into enhancing its value as a resource in a classroom.
“What I like most about Skullkickers: 1000 Opas and a Dead Body is its ability to blend various stylistic techniques that invite comic book, anime, and graphic novel readers of all persuasions to its pages.”
Comic Book Resources has a 6 page preview of Skullkickers #24 (a.k.a. ‘Before Skullkickers’) posted on their site. Check out the incredible artwork of Stjepan Sejic in this short story all about Kusia written by Ron Marz.
From Thursday through to Sunday Jim Zub will be exhibiting at Fan Expo, the largest convention in Canada!
You can find him set up at Artist Alley Table P-34. He’ll be there with Skullkickers comics galore, along with convention-only goodies like variant/sketch covers and the Skullkickers World Map poster.
If you’re in Toronto we hope to see you there! It’s going to be a great show.
This year’s Gen Con Indy (August 15-18) is going to be epic.
Skullkickers will be set up again. Look for Jim Zub at Booth #1749 along with with Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance, Ravenloft) and Howard Tayler (Schlock Mercenary).
At our booth:
Skullkickers Vol. 1-4 (soft cover)
Skullkickers Treasure Trove (hard cover)
along with rare variant covers, sketches and more!
Last year Gen Con was one of our best shows and 2013 should prove no exception. If you’re headed to Indianapolis, make sure you come by!
Skullkickers #24 (aka. Before Skullkickers) arrives at the end of August.
Check out this sneak peek at Kusia short story artwork by the incredible Stjepan Šejić!

What a way to head into San Diego Comic-Con this week!
Just found out that Skullkickers has been nominated for the 2013 Harvey Awards in the ‘Special Award for Humor in Comics’ category. Amazing!
Thank you to all the professionals who put our name in to secure this nomination. All of us on the team are thrilled to be considered. If you’re a cartoonist/comic pro I’d be thrilled if you could consider voting for us on the final ballot, which you can find right HERE.
