Broken Frontiers Advance Review of SK#6!

\"\"

Broken Frontier has an advance review of Skullkickers #6, our short story extravaganza \’Four Tavern Tales\’ and they like what they\’re reading.

\”A fun read from beginning to end, Skullkickers #6 is a testament to what a little creative ingenuity and good old fashioned entrepreneurial spirit can accomplish in today’s competitive market. Zubkavich and company have helped raise the bar for creator-owned properties and solidified his project in the minds of fans and retailers alike.\”

SK Volume 1 Art Loop!

Edwin and Espen did such a fantastic job on the Skullkickers Volume 1 cover artwork, an endlessly looping vertical piece symbolizing the \’kill the monsters, get the gold\’ paradigm of fantasy games, that we wanted to show it off in a dynamic way.

Misty put together this looping Flash file to give you the full tour of the art, over and over. Fun stuff!

Have you pre-ordered your copy of Skullkickers Volume 1? It arrives in stores on March 9th, 144 pages for only $9.99!

The Examiner Gives Skullkickers ★★★★★!

\"\"

Robert Sodaro at the Examiner thoroughly enjoys the first arc of Skullkickers and looks forward to the next story arc.

\”In a time when so many comics take themselves seriously, and feel the need to be dark and gritty, (and color themselves in muddy duo tones so as to all but obscure what passes for art), Skullkickers is bright, colorful, and appealing to the eye. It not only reads quite well, but invites the reader to linger on each panel of crisp, clean artwork. More comics should be this entertaining.\”

Skullkickers at Emerald City Comicon!

\"\"

Image Comics and the creator of Skullkickers are getting ready to kick Seattle in a big way at this year\’s Emerald City Comicon, March 4-6 in Seattle, Washington.

Jim Zub will be at the Image Comics booth (BOOTH 706) celebrating the launch of Skullkickers Volume 1: 1000 Opas and a Dead Body, the first trade paperback of Image\’s new hit action-comedy comic series. Image will have a special limited edition exclusive hardcover edition of the trade for sale, limited to only 250 copies.

\"\"

Plus, Jim will be appearing at two Emerald City panels over the weekend:

FRIDAY MARCH 4th at 3:00 PM
IMAGE COMICS INTRODUCES YOUR NEW FAVOURITES
ROOM 3AB
Come get to know Image\’s rising stars and the best new creator-owned titles like Nonplayer, Intrepids and L\’il Depressed Boy, as well as success stories like John Layman of Chew, Jim Zubkavich of Skullkickers, and Ron Marz, who will be announcing a new project!

SUNDAY MARCH 6th at 12:00 PM
CON HORROR STORIES
ROOM 3AB
Conventions are a surreal world, and this panel lets you in on stories straight from the mouths of creators, including Jim Zubkavich (Skullkickers), Travis Hanson (The Bean), Brandon Jerwa (The Mighty Crusaders), Eric Trautmann (Vampirella) and more. These stories are things they did or have seen that they might have regretted, made them laugh, cry, blush, be stunned and at times, simply have to call home about due to their sheer unbelievability.
