SK Kicks c2e2!
Misty, Marshall and Zub had a great weekend in Chicago at c2e2! The con floor was bustling and we were thrilled to meet so many Skullkickers fans at the show.
By Saturday afternoon our stock of trade paperbacks and limited edition hardcovers ran out. Even when Misty brought more trades on Sunday morning to restock they only lasted a couple hours. Needless to say, we were thrilled at the response people had to the book and are extra excited about our second story arc starting in late May.
Thank you, everyone who came by to get books signed. We couldn’t do it without your support!
SK in Wizardworld #3
Zub gets promoted in the latest issue of Wizardworld Digital magazine as part of an article called “Five On The Rise” which focuses on up and coming comic creators. On top of that, SK makes a small appearance on the cover.
C2E2 Starts Tomorrow!
The C2E2 convention in Chicago starts tomorrow and we are pumped. If you are in the Chicago area, please come out to the show and get a copy of Skullkickers, or get your books signed.
In addition to having 30 copies of the limited edition hardcover version of Skullkickers Vol.1, we’ll have the regular softcover trades, rare variant cover issues and an exclusive version of the Skullkickers Sketchbook:
We hope to see you there!
Portland Mercury Sounds Off On SK
Erik Henriksen at the Portland Mercury likes the sound effects in Skullkickers Vol. 1… in fact he likes pretty much every part of our sword & sassery adventures.
“writer Jim Zubkavich and artist Edwin Huang giddily smoosh up splattery violence, ripe-for-the-subverting fantasy clichés, and laugh-out-loud humor to make Skullkickers a fast, fun, addictive read.
In a medium where genuinely funny comics are all too rare, and in a genre currently defined by mopier-than-thou downers like A Game of Thrones and Dragon Age, the enthusiastic Skullkickers is a welcome addition.”
